How Sacred Math is Unfolding
Update
I’ve made an important decision about the unfolding of Sacred Mathematics. Over the past months I’ve been shaping the material for How to Think Clearly, and it has become evident that this body of work wants to live here first, in written form, as a series of essays. This space on Substack offers the right combination of depth and accessibility for ideas that are meant to be lived with slowly rather than rushed.
At the same time, another thread has been taking shape. I’m developing a series of illustrated storybooks for children aged five to eight, designed to introduce early mathematical thinking through story, imagery and play. These stories follow Mat the Mathematical Mouse, who invites children into a world where curiosity becomes a natural gateway into number, pattern and logic. Each book will be released as a downloadable edition, fully printable and easy to use in both classroom and home settings. Alongside the story and illustrations, each one will include games and exercises that help teachers and parents deepen the child’s experience of the mathematical ideas woven into the narrative.
The first story will be released within the next few weeks. It’s called Mat and the Peach Pit Who Reached for the Sun, a tale that brings children into an awareness of the importance of the movement between up and down - and how that rhythm shapes the world around them.
While this new series develops, How to Think Clearly will continue to unfold here as an open gateway into the philosophy and practice at the heart of Sacred Mathematics.
